Scott is an experienced litigator and a leader in the firms construction law practice group. He has represented construction contractors and design professionals such as architects and engineers in a variety of errors and omissions claims where the claimed damages have included catastrophic bodily injury and death, property damage, construction delay damages, liquidated damages and other economics losses arising from design errors or omissions.
As a result of Scott's excellent service to his construction professional clients, Scott's professional liability practice has expanded to representation of non- A & E professionals such as appraisers, real estate agents, lawyers, social service professionals, property inspectors, mental health professionals and allied health professionals.
Scott has also served as outside counsel for political subdivisions on a variety of legal issues impacting their operations including litigated and non-litigated issues.
Scott has tried numerous bench and jury trials and binding and non-binding arbitrations. After obtaining successful judgments for his clients, Scott has successfully argued appeals of the judgment before Appellate Courts and the Ohio Supreme Court.
