COLUMBUS, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is proud to announce that our Columbus office was named a finalist in the medium-sized employer category for the 2018 Corporate Citizenship Awards, sponsored by Columbus Business First.
The Corporate Citizenship Awards are part of a larger initiative to celebrate companies who are “doing good works to make Central Ohio a better place,” according to the business publication. More than 160 companies submitted information about charitable monetary donations, in-kind contributions and volunteer hours from the past year. Finalists were selected in four different categories: Small (1-49 employees); medium (50-99 employees); large (100-249); and extra-large (250+ employees). Winning organizations will be announced at an event held June 21stat Grandview Yard.
“We believe strongly in supporting the communities in which we live and work,” said Columbus office Managing Partner Ronald A. Fresco. “We look for ways to make meaningful contributions to those organizations and causes that our staff and attorneys feel a connection.”
Reminger has 14 offices located throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. In 2017, the Reminger Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization funded by the attorneys at staff of Reminger and friends of the firm, awarded more than $80,000 in charitable grants to eligible organizations. The firm donated $10,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio to help sponsor the organization’s linen needs for the next five years. Reminger also made $15,000 in charitable contributions to Northeast Ohio nonprofit organizations dedicated to providing treatment and recovery services for drug abuse and addiction, an in effort to help fight the opioid crisis.
In Reminger’s Columbus office, a group of staff and attorneys referred to as “The Happenings Committee” also provides their time and effort in a more grassroots fashion, like raising funds for Franklin County Children’s Services to purchase gifts over the holidays and conducting book drives.
