Ralph Burnham and Kelly Ratliff presented “Investigating & Defending Unusual Blasting Claims.” The presentation provided an overview of the current litigation trends observed in blasting and construction operations with a focus on the unusual / non-typical vibration claims such as landslides, damage from air blast, and well water contamination, and provided recommendations for receiving, investigating, and defending vibration complaints as a result of blasting and construction operations from a forensic engineering and causation approach.
