CLEVELAND, OH – Gregory G. Guice was recently named the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA). Gregory will be sworn in alongside the other officers and trustees for the CMBA and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation (CMBF) during the CMBA’s tenth annual meeting and luncheon on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Cleveland Public Auditorium. He will also rejoin the CMBA’s Board of Trustees and the Board’s Executive Committee.
Gregory’s history with the CMBA’s diversity initiatives includes Co-Chairing the CMBA’s Minority Clerkship Program, being a member of the CMBA’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and Chairing that Committee’s Diversity Pipeline Subcommittee. In his new role, Gregory will continue to work on initiatives that promote diversity and inclusion within the legal profession, justice system, and the wider community.
Gregory serves as Chair of Reminger’s Diversity Committee and as Chair of Reminger’s Retail & Hospitality Practice Group. Gregory handles matters across several areas of law including retail and hospitality liability, professional liability (both legal and financial), business/commercial litigation and employment liability. Gregory's litigation experience includes various state and appellate courts throughout Ohio, including appearing before the Ohio Supreme Court. He also has experience throughout the federal arena including U.S. District Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy courts and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is active in administrative spheres as well and handles matters before the EEOC, NLRB, and OSHA.
For the past several years, Gregory has been selected as a Super Lawyer (and previously as a Rising Star) by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine. He is a member of numerous bar associations including the National Bar Association (NBA), the Ohio Bar Association (OSBA), the Norman S. Minor Bar Association and the CMBA (where he also serves on the CMBA’s Certified Grievance Committee).
