CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is proud to announce that Mario C. Ciano was honored with a 2018 ORT America Jurisprudence Award. ORT America is a non-profit Jewish organization that promotes education and training in communities worldwide. The ORT America Jurisprudence Awards are presented annually to members of the legal community whose professional and personal lives have substantially improved the quality of life for their fellow human beings, created role models for others to emulate, and established new directions for the enhancement of their profession and their community.
This year, Mario joins fellow honoree David Paris, Managing Partner of Nurenberg Paris, along with a number of other outstanding attorneys and jurists since the establishment of the award in Northeast Ohio in 1996.
"Many know Mario as the former Managing Partner of Reminger Co., LPA and as an exceptional lawyer,” said Reminger Managing Partner Stephen E. Walters. “But many might not know about Mario’s dedication to public service and to facilitating private placement adoptions. He has a generous and kind heart and has used his energies and talents for a lot of good deeds. We are so pleased that he is being recognized for the role model that he is.”
Mario served as Managing Partner of Reminger from 1990 to 2005. A few of his many accomplishments include his vision to successfully expand Reminger from 45 attorneys in two offices to more than 125 attorneys in eight offices.
Most recently, Mario has been honored by the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association with the prestigious William K. Thomas Professionalism Award. Mario has been recognized and included among the 'Best Lawyers in America' for the last 25 years. He has been featured as one of the 'Leading Lawyers' by Inside Business Magazine and is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and Defense Research Institute. He is also a faculty fellow for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a life delegate of the Eighth Ohio Judicial District. He frequently lectures to peer groups on various issues covering professional liability, trial tactics, litigation management, and Alternative Fee Arrangements.
