COLUMBUS, OH –Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that Thomas N. Spyker and Rachel Coles have joined our Columbus, Ohio office.
Thomas N. Spyker: Thomas’ practice focuses on governmental/public entity liability, employment litigation, commercial trucking and professional liability as well as a broad range of pre-suit investigative work and general litigation matters. Prior to being admitted to practice, Thomas was a clerk in the Columbus office for two years supporting these practice groups.
Prior to joining Reminger, Thomas served for three years as a military police officer in the United States Navy and for seven years as a federal police officer gaining valuable investigative experience in areas ranging from automobile accidents to complex criminal matters. Thomas also served for six years as a union steward for the nation’s largest federal employment union where he gained unique experience and insight into public entity liability and employment litigation.
While working in law enforcement, Thomas attended Capital University Law School’s evening program where he earned his Juris Doctor while becoming the first evening student elected as President of the Student Bar Association. Thomas graduated cum laude and was awarded the Dean’s Award in recognition of his leadership and academic achievements. He received his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Ohio University.

Rachel Coles: Rachel focuses her practice on a variety of areas, including general liability and governmental/public entity liability. While attending law school, Rachel worked as a law clerk in Reminger's Youngstown office. She gained invaluable experience handling a wide variety of cases, including medical malpractice, long-term care liability, professional liability, insurance coverage/bad faith, products liability, and general tort liability.
Rachel graduated with top honors, summa cum laude, from The University of Akron School of Law, where she received recognition as a member of their nationally ranked Mock Trial Team. She finished as a Regional Champion and National Runner-up in the American Association for Justice Student Trial Advocacy Competition. Rachel also served as the Executive Editor of Production of the Akron Law Review. She received her undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from West Liberty University, where she also played varsity soccer.
