CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is proud to share that the Lawyers Guild of the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland has chosen Mario C. Ciano as the 2019 recipient of the prestigious St. Thomas More Award. The former Managing Partner of Reminger will be honored at a luncheon following the Cleveland Lawyers Guild’s annual Red Mass, held on Friday, October 18th at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 1007 Superior Avenue in Cleveland.
Mario served as Managing Partner of Reminger for 15 years, until 2005. A few of his many accomplishments include his vision to successfully expand Reminger from 45 attorneys in two offices to more than 125 attorneys in eight offices during his tenure. Most recently, Mario has been honored with the 2018 William K. Thomas Professionalism Award from the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, as well as with ORT America's 2018 Jurisprudence Award. Mario has been recognized and included among the 'Best Lawyers in America' for the last 25 years. He has been featured as one of the 'Leading Lawyers' by Inside Business Magazine and is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and Defense Research Institute. He is also a faculty fellow for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and a life delegate of the Eighth Ohio Judicial District
Mario lives out his motto, “First your faith, second your family, and third your work.” He is a member of the Board of Advisors for Lake County Birthright, which helps women in crisis pregnancies, has shared the Gospel with Ohio inmates as a True Freedom Ministries volunteer, and helped the poor in Africa on several mission trips. His most rewarding service has been facilitating dozens of private placement adoptions pro-bono.
