CLEVELAND, OH – We are pleased to announce that Joseph S. Simms has been appointed as a member of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) Board of Directors and will also serve as the Chair of the CMBA's Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Section. He will assume these roles on July 1, 2022.
In his upcoming three year term as a member of CMBA's Board of Directors, Joe will promote the rule of law and the legal profession by supporting, empowering and celebrating CMBA members and the community. In his upcoming one year term as Chair of CMBA's ADR Section, Joe will work to promote the use of alternate dispute resolution in all fields of law, and help advocates and neutrals build their skills. Currently, Joe serves as Head of Programming of CMBA's Litigation Section and will Chair the 2022 Litigation Institute on June 14, 2022.
Joe is the Chair of Reminger’s Broker-Dealer and Investment Advisor Regulatory Compliance and Enforcement Practice Group, and a senior member of the Financial Services, Securities Litigation, Commercial Litigation and Estates, Trusts and Probate Litigation groups. In his nationwide practice, Joe represents public and private companies and individuals in the financial services, banking, brokerage, insurance, real estate, manufacturing, and construction industries in a wide array of cases involving breach of contract and fraud claims, issues relating to claims of unfair competition and trade secrets violations, and general tort litigation.
