Reminger Obtains Unanimous Defense Verdict in Favor of Long-Term Care Facility
In a wrongful death/survivorship claim against a long-term care facility, Reminger attorneys Erin Hess and Daniel Egger obtained a unanimous defense verdict for their client.
The case involved alleged negligence against our long-term care facility client. Plaintiff claimed that the facility’s understaffing, lack of wound prevention and wound care allegedly led to pressure ulcers and sepsis in an 84 year old resident who died one month after leaving the facility.
After two weeks of trial, the plaintiff asked the jury to return a verdict in the amount of $25 million for wrongful death and survivorship. The jury returned a unanimous defense verdict in favor of our long-term care facility client.
