Matthew R. Carona

Matt is a shareholder in Reminger Co. LPA’s Akron office. He focuses his practice primarily on the areas of workers’ compensation and employment practices liability. Matt has an extensive workers’ compensation practice, having handled all matters of workers’ compensation claims including claim allowances, treatment issues, violations of specific safety requirements (VSSR), and permanent total disability applications before the Ohio Industrial Commission. He also has experience defending workers’ compensation claims that are appealed and litigated at various levels of the Ohio court system throughout the state.

Matt’s experience allows him to give effective counsel to third party administrators, claim representatives, state funded employers, and self-insured employers concerning all matters of their workers’ compensation program.

Matt also advises employers regarding claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other statutory claims under the FMLA, FLSA and NLRA.
