CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that Allison McMeechan has been recognized as a member of the 2022 class of "Smart Women Awards" honorees. The Smart Women Awards recognize the achievements of leading businesswomen and effective women’s programs. Allison will be honored at the Smart Women Awards breakfast on June 23, 2022.
Allison focuses her practice on elder and special needs law, including estate and long term care planning, estate and trust administration, probate and guardianships. She serves as the Chair of both Reminger's Elder Law and Special Needs Planning practice group and Estate and Trust Administration Practice Group. Allison's commitment to elder law and justice for individuals with disabilities does not stop when she leaves the office. Rather, it is amplified by her board and committee involvement. She serves as a member of Julie Billiart Schools’ Advancement Committee, the Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter Walk to End Alzheimer’s Sponsorship Committee, Hospice of the Western Reserve's Advisory Committee, Jacob's Ladder Fitness, and the Board of Directors of Milestones Autism Resources.
She is an Accredited Attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a Certified Elder Law Attorney through the National Elder Law Foundation (CELA), and a Certified Elder Law Specialist through the Ohio State Bar Association. Within the legal community, Allison is also an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association's Estate, Trust & Probate Law Section, and Elder & Special Needs Law Committee.
