Reminger's Elder and Special Needs attorneys are committed to providing compassionate and efficient legal service to elderly individuals and their families, as well as families of children with special needs and disabled individuals.

Our elder law and special needs team is led by Allison McMeechan, who is an accredited attorney with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, a Certified Elder Law Attorney through the National Elder Law Foundation (CELA), and a Certified Elder Law Specialist through the Ohio State Bar Association.

We understand the delicate yet complex issues you may face when trying to plan for matters involving medical care, treatment, and finances. Our services include:

  • Special Needs Planning 

In addition, we can assist with estate planning, probate and estate administration, and guardianship issues. 

We believe in educating you regarding your options, and then offering solutions to help provide peace of mind. 

Our approach in working with elderly or disabled individuals and their families involves creating a plan tailored to your specific needs. Depending on your situation, that could mean long-term care planning, asset protection, exploring benefits eligibility requirements, or other related matters that can have a significant impact on quality of life. 

When working with families who have special needs children, we employ a similar customized approach. Our goal is to educate clients about the many benefit programs available, and to assist with planning that incorporates asset protection and other helpful legal strategies. 

Our team is available for consultation and guidance, as well as for the development of specific plans.
