CLEVELAND, OH - Reminger Probate Administration, Trust Administration and Guardianships Co-Chair Adam. M Fried has been invited to speak at the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law’s 2012 Annual Meeting in Quebec, Montreal, which is being held October 25-October 28, 2012.
Adam’s presentation is part of a 2-hour workshop conducted in tandem with a law professor and two forensic psychiatrists on the issue of attorneys and doctors on undue influence. The session, entitled “Closet to Court: Attorneys and Doctors on Undue Influence,” will be moderated by Adam alongside Sherif Soliman, MD, Carolyn Dessin, JD, and Susan Hatters Friedman, MD.
The goal of the AAPL’s Annual Meeting is to inform attendees about the current major issues in forensic psychiatry and afford them opportunities to refresh skills in the fundamentals of the discipline, engage in discussion with peers on the standards governing the profession, and update their present knowledge.
Adam focuses his practice on the representation of heirs, beneficiaries, trustees, executors, and guardians in matters such as the contest of wills, trusts and financial transactions involving allegations of undue influence, fraud and incompetence. He is frequently called upon to handle disputes over the appointment and removal of fiduciaries.
Adam has been designated an 'Ohio Rising Star' and a Super Lawyer by Law and Politics Magazine, recognized by 'Best Lawyers in America' and 'Cleveland's Finest Up and Coming Young Professional' by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He has also been nominated by his peers as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. He is a frequent lecturer to numerous groups and is a member of many professional organizations including the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.
