CLEVELAND, OH - Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that attorney Mike Rode has joined our Cleveland office. As Of Counsel, Mike’s practice is focused on franchising, executive recruitment and staffing and labor and employment matters.
Mike previously was Vice President and General Counsel of Management Recruiters International, Inc. (MRI®), one of the world’s largest executive recruitment and staffing organizations. In that capacity he developed substantial expertise in legal matters relating to both franchising and executive recruitment and staffing, focusing heavily on contractual and labor and employment matters, including discrimination, wage and hour, employment relations, trade secret and IP issues.
Mike has appeared before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and before state and local EEO administrative agencies. He has also drafted and implemented a wide variety of policies and forms including employment agreements, arbitration agreements, computer use policies and social media site policies.
Mike has extensive experience providing training regarding the proper conduct of workplace investigations, employee discipline and discharge issues and employment discrimination issues.
A graduate of the Case Western Reserve University School of Law and Wittenberg University, Mike is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, the International Franchise Association and the American Staffing Association.
